Maybe it’s because I’m getting older. And you know it would seem logical that as we get older we SHOULD have a bit more wisdom than when we were teenagers seeking to find our way in this world. However, this is not always true.

I’m sure most of us have seen people who manipulate their way into getting what they want. The keyword here is MANIPULATE. Now – this is not when someone works hard and do what is legally and morally necessary to achieve their goals. No – what I mean is when someone does “whatever it takes” whether legal or morally reprehensible, to get what they want.

Of course this can be anything; from money, to someone’s husband, someone’s livelihood, someone’s job – anything! But, as Marianne Williamson said, “Anything you have to manipulate to get, is rarely yours to keep!”

Why do you think that is?

Well – for one thing. If someone manipulates their way into getting something – do you think others notice? Of course! Would you think that this person is someone that can be trusted? I think not! I for one would not turn my back on such a person. What about those women – or men, who manipulate a situation to get someone’s husband or wife? Do you think that somewhere in the dark recesses of their mind that they’re not thinking that if this person did this to someone – what is to stop them from doing the same thing to them? I certainly would be wondering that?

Then there is this thing called “Karma” which basically means that what you put out comes back to you. So, if you put out good, then good will come back to you, and, if you put out bad, then guess what? That is what you will get.

The Bible has this verse that summarizes this well. “A man only reaps what he sows.” Galatians 6 v. 7. You can’t sow corn and get grapes. And I happen to believe what the Bible says because I’ve seen its truths come to pass far too frequently to ignore.

I believe that whatever was meant for you can NEVER be taken away from you. It’s yours and yours alone. And while someone may THINK they have manipulated the situation to get your husband, your job, your money – be assured that, whatever is truly yours can never be taken away from you.

So when you get turned down for the job, your husband or wife leaves you, things don’t work out in the way you wanted it to. Don’t worry or fret! If it’s truly yours – nobody can take it from you! If you lose it – or someone takes it – let them have it. It was never yours to begin with. The removal of that thing or person from your life is God’s way of making room for something, or someone so much better! Believe it! Receive it! And thank God he saved you from that hell!
