Many people are crippled by a fear of failure – so they do nothing. But the greatest mistake that we can make in life is to allow ourselves to be so frozen by the fear of failing that we live our lives, walking this earth like the “living dead” because we are so afraid we might fail, if we try.
Henry Ford says, “One who fears failure limits his activities. Failure is only the opportunity to more intelligently begin again.”
Thomas Edison said, “I have NOT failed, I have just found 10, 000 ways that did not work.”
Just imagine – If Henry Ford did not attempt to invent the motor vehicle, we might still be riding horses, riding in horse-drawn carriages, buggies, or simply footing it everywhere.
If Thomas Edison did not attempt to find a way to create light (light bulb), generate music (phonograph, or capture images (camera) – where would we be? We would still be living in a very dark world, without the ability to enjoy music anywhere we want to, and without the ability to capture and preserve memories through use of the camera.
Do NOT let the fear of failing cripple you to the point where you go to your graves with your dreams still within you!!! Let’s heed the words of Ralph Waldo Emerson who said, “The greatest Glory in living lies not in never failing, but in rising every time we fail.”
Because – guess what guys, “Someone who has never failed – has never really tried to do anything.” So – keep failing because eventually you WILL win big in the game of life!
